Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies
Core Courses and Concentration Areas
The Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (MAIS) is a 30-hour (minimum) master’s program that allows you to choose between two or three areas of concentration, enabling you to tailor your selected focus areas toward a particular personal, academic or professional interest. The MAIS is offered primarily as a non-thesis program, but a thesis option is also available.

Thesis or Non-thesis (3-6 units)

Areas of Concentration (18 units)
Two to three concentration areas need to be selected from the list below. If you're selecting two areas, you must take 9 units in both concentration areas; if selecting three areas, you must take 6 units in each of the three concentration areas:
