EDUC 3524 - 60 Teaching Methods ll: Teaching Elementary and Middle-Level Social Studies

Students will extend their existing knowledge and skills while learning and practicing new pedagogical methods for presenting and engaging students with content and content literacies, as well as, the variety of products and performances possible to demonstrate student learning. The ways assessment data informs practice before, during, and after instruction will be addressed specifically considering how to use data for whole-class instruction, reteaching, differentiation, and providing meaningful feedback to learners. Students will collaborate with others for professional growth and student benefit. The corequisite internship course will support and extend the learning in this course. Prerequisite(s): EDUC 2301 or ELEMECML 4124 or EDUC 2302 or ELEMECML 4150; EDUC 2401 or EDUC 2402; junior standing. Corequisite(s): EDUC 3523 or ELEMECML 3161; EDUC 3602.
