SW 6222 - 60 Foundation Practicum I

Field instruction provides a learning experience in a community setting where the student has the opportunity to integrate classroom learning into practice, to develop skills in interpersonal relationships and intervention techniques, and to participate in the role of social worker. The minimum required clock hours are 200 and the course is credit/no credit. Prerequisite(s): Completion of MSW Foundation core coursework or written approval from the MSW Program Director. In Good Academic Standing (minimum 3.0 GPA; No more than 6 credits with a C; No incompletes in required courses).
