Introduces foundation core of the generalist social work practice approach. Students learn about diversity and difference in practice as they apply skills in engaging, assessing, planning, preparing, implementing, evaluating and terminating. Professionalism is fundamental to this course and is guided by the Social Work Code of Ethics. Prerequisite(s): admission to graduate program in Social Work or written consent of instructor.
