This course examines the consequences of trauma experiences, toxic stress for individuals, groups and communities. The course explores traumatic events, toxic stress impact on an individual's physical and mental health and patterned behavior. The course discusses the prevention and intervention of toxic stress and trauma. Last, this course explores individual strategies of self-care and stress management.
