EDUC 3602 - 4A Teaching Internship ll: Elementary Methods
This course contains a 35-hour field experience in a PK-12 school setting. Through the experience and coursework, students will extend their existing knowledge and skills, and learn and practice new information, strategies, and tools. Students will create, enact, assess, and reflect on student-centered instruction that supports the diverse needs of all students with special attention to English language learners. Opportunities for collaborative teaching will allow students to prepare for respectful, productive communication and collaboration in their teaching positions under close supervision of a professor and mentor teacher. The corequisite methods course will support and extend the learning in this course. Offered on credit/no credit basis only. Prerequisite(s): EDUC 2301 or ELEMECML 4124 or EDUC 2302 or ELEMECML 4150; EDUC 2401 or EDUC 2402; junior standing. Corequisite(s): EDUC 3523 or ELEMECML 3161; EDUC 3524 or ELEMECML 3164.
