CTE 4155 - SPOC Supervision of Work-Based Learning Internships

Students learn the basics of planning, organizing, and implementing internships to address two goal areas: specific occupational skill development and standard work-behavior development. Primary areas of study include the implementation of training plans and agreements, development of liaison relationships with the community, evaluation of student performance, and review of federal and state employment laws. This course fulfills the requirement for the work-based learning supervisor authorization in Iowa. Prerequisite(s): junior standing.

Tuition for SPOC courses is in addition to the full-time, on-campus rate.  In general, SPOC courses do not qualify for financial aid. This SPOC course is web-based and has an additional technology fee.
