- Get-rich-quick schemes include multi-level marketing, ponzi schemes, pig-butchering scams, romance scams, and others in which participants hope to make money by taking advantage of vulnerable people. These schemes often occupy murky legal and ethical territory in which it can be difficult to determine the legality and the harms of these activities. This course is designed to help students investigate the legal and ethical implications of these kinds of get-rich-quick schemes. Additionally, students will explore their own personal values and ethical code in relation to these kinds of schemes.
